Vulcan Grips Project
The challenge here was put forth in two separate phases. The first phase was to take a concept that was partially developed and remodel the form factor. Size and shape parameters were specified by the client. Our engineers remodeled and rendered the new shape. This newly remodeled shape met with the clients approval. The second phase of this project was to design a mechanism that would securely and easily attach the grip product to a standard weight lifting bar reliably and quickly. This mechanism also had to be quick releasing. Our engineers provided several unique concepts and had numerous design reviews until a suitable design was approved by the client. The approved design was simple, but needed to designed within a very small envelope.
The initial design layout and detailed component design was completed. The client was pleased to have a solution for a difficult problem.
